Michael Jordan

This week has been one of the craziest weeks of the mission. I got sick again on Thursday. was in bed all day.. fever, headache, vomitting, and joint pains. it was so miserable. Friday was much of the same. I went to the doctor. They took blood tests. And also hooked me to an iv so i could get hydrated and my headaches would go away. it helped a little. after talking to the mission doctor and the other doctor they think it is Dangue (its a mosquito born illness)  but we are not sure yet because the blood tests are not back yet.

Saturday Joy was going to be baptized. And she asked me to baptize her! So I thought to myself. If Michael Jordan can score 50 points and win a championship with the flu, then I can baptize with the Dangue fever. I slept all day saturday woke up went and baptized joy.. then came back and slept all night. It was still a good day to see joy get baptized! she will make an awesome member.

Saturday after the baptism we got transfer calls. I am going to george town, St. Vincent! I am super excited and was supposed to leave tomorrow. But because today I am still sick and in bed all day they are pushing my flight back. So eventually I will get there.

Sunday I said my goodbyes and it was so rough. I love the people here and it absoulutely breaks my heart to leave them. Being sick, and going around telling all my favorite people bye was super hard. Black rock just feels like my home and I am so attached to the people. When they announced in church i was leaving there was people crying and it was hard for me to give my concluding testimony with out crying myself.

Monday was zone conference. I went but was falling asleep during it. I tried so hard to stay awake but the body wasnt taking it. The aps were nice they took me to there apartment so I could sleep then come back for the end of zone conference.

After it was over President Herrington came and gave me a blessing. It was honestly one of the coolest blessings I have ever had. He said some things that were very dear to my heart. I feel president is very close to the spirit.
One thing that i clearly remember. Is he shared that i would only be in georgetown for a short amount of time, because the mission needs me in leadership positions. And he shared many other things about you the family. It was an amazing experience.

All in all. This week was a rough week. It was spiritual and emotional. I feel as though I am being a horrible missionary laying in bed all day being sick. I pray to be better quickly so I can get back to work and serve the lord. I hope I can fly out to st. Vincent in a short time.
With love, Elder Dixon
