Yo.

This week was chill. Nothing much happened. Hmm one story I will share with you.

So basically we were out talking to people and we met this lady selling bread. She was kinda of a in your face kinda person. So she was really trying hard to sell us this coconut bread. I a thought came to my head.. I will buy her bread then she will listen to us and we will sell her eternal life. ;)

Anyway so we bought some bread. And then she agreed to listen to us when we found common ground first. We got to know her religious beliefs. And then we started sharing about the Book of Mormon. She was just so anti. She was trying to tear the book down and would try to go against everything we said. Even if I tried to bring up the weather she would go against it. I was about to call it hopeless and say our good byes to find a next person but a thought came to my head. It was the spirit telling me to be bold and bear testimony. So that is what I did. When she finally stopped talking and going against everything.

I said "Ma'am I can see where your coming from, But you have not even held one of these books in your hand you have not read it. It is like you saying your coconut bread is bad with out even trying it. I know this book is true with all my heart. It will completely change your life as it has mine. Will you except it and honestly give it a try?" She was in silence for about a minute. Then said yes I will read it. I am not sure if she will actually read it. I am not sure if she still even has it. But I felt the spirit and so did she. And it was a starting point for her and a testimony building experience for me. I know the book is true. I know it. I know it. I love the Book of Mormon.

There is a not a day of my mission that I have not read from the Book of Mormon. It brings me so much peace and joy.

Good Vibes and Splashes

This week was a stellar week. It was full of good vibes. To share just a few things of what happened this week --

Kenai got baptized!! and so did Daphny the sisters investigator and she asked me to baptize her so that was fun!

Also we had some fun easter games with the boys and a wonderful family!

We built a house with my rasta homie Mark! and he is progressing in the gospel well. He went from smoking 30 joints a day and now hasn't had a smoke in 3 weeks! :) the Atonement of Christ is so real!

We go and play basketball each week on Wednesday to find the rising generation. I had a funny experience this Wednesday so I will share it with ya. So we had a few games of ball. And then we were just liming out sharing the gospel with all the guys, when a dad from the stands came over to me. He said he was the coach for the National Barbados basketball team. He asked if I would come and join the team and play for him. He said I would start as point guard. Hahah I told him that I was a missionary and that we only come to play to share the gospel. So I gave him a Book of Mormon and told him all about it! lol

Easter was the bomb! I gave a talk in church! The spirit was so strong. Lots of people said they loved it so I think it was okay. Nobody threw easter eggs at me while I was up there so overall it was great!

Another crazy story, one night I was reading that book you sent me mom.( By the way I love that book I am already 243 pages in... thanks so much mom) But anyway so i was reading and i felt something crawl on my leg so i looked down and it was a foot long centipede!! I about jumped to the ceiling and flinged that ting off so fast!! It was crazy it stung me and hurt like a mother. But it was a good story haha life in the Caribbean!

Well the church is true. Something I shared in my talk is how Christ works from the inside out. The world works from the outside in. So this Easter season we need to give our hearts to Christ. Because that's what he wants most! :)

love ya!!

oh and also I went monkey hunting and was successful! we had monkey stew! :)

Last week Jake only sent photos - They had a great week but not much to say - The pictures he sent home are below :)

MLC and Conference

So this week was full of spiritual experiences! Basically the two highlights of the week was general conference and MLC.

So first MLC, mission leadership counsel, was amazing. All the zone leaders flew in for it at Barbados! Elder Kuru and I had to teach for about 2.5 hours of it! So we had done a lot of preparing. Our main objective as always is to inspire and uplift as leaders. But we also had a huge emphasis on opening your mouth! Nothing works in missionary work until you open your mouth. I loved the talk in conference by my boii, Choii! It was exactly what we taught.  MLC was just amazing President taught about Eternal Marriage and I learned a ton. It also made me kinda trunky lol :)

During Presidents teaching he asked us a question that touched my heart. He said do you feel closer to your mom today then you did when you left on your mission?

My heart was full of joy for I can truly say that mom I feel so close to you even though we are like thousands of miles away. As we conform our lives to the gospel and toward Jesus Christ we always will draw closer together. Because we are indeed sealed as a family for all time and eternity!

I want to extend an invitation for any of you who read this email. This week open your mouth to just three people. And share with them a principle that you know to be true, and then invite them to act. Whether it be by giving them the website lds.org, or just getting there number and address so you can send missionaries by!  I can promise you that your mouth will be filled. You will feel God's hand in your words. And you will watch your words work wonders among these precious souls that need the gospel!

Second Conference was amazing!! I watched it at the church with all the other missionaries!! It was so spiritual. I also thought there were some amazing talks. A few words that stuck out to me..

Dale G Renlund- "He can not save them in their sins." So we must repent.
President Nelson- "We must Stand up, Stand out, Speak up, And be Different"
Robert D Hales- "Brotherly Kindness is the Hallmark of all Attributes."
Gary Sabin- "We must let go of the world to hang on to Eternity"
Henry B Eyring- "The church isn't about being a perfect organization, but to build us in the process."

There was so much more that I loved!! Bless Thomas Monsons heart too, he is such a soldier.

Also this week..
I learned how to debone a flying fish.
My favorite thing I did this week was go to dawns house for a bbq! She is awesome!
I ran into a garbage can so I shattered my back window.
And I ate fish eyes!!

Well I love you all.
