Baptism

Vibe was nice this week. We had a sweet baptism of Jashon Harewood!. He is a good kid. He is 13 years old and has such a sweet spirit. It was funny at the baptismal service we had to stall for 45 minutes for his mom to show up.. lol Caribbean vibes are funny. But he is excited and wants to hold the priesthood and pass the sacrament with his cousin niko! I think the grandma was most happy to see him make this next step she was crying and so full of joy!

Overall though this week was fun we just trained the new missionaries. And worked hard as usual. I am excited for general conference. And this week we also have a Fly-in MLC. So pray that I can teach well in front of all the leadership of the mission. It is going to be a good time.

Hmm lame email this week...

Oh it was also president Herringtons birthday so Elder Kuru and I got him some funny gifts. We got him some cheeto puffs, Soy sauce, and nice cheese. Those are all his favorites. He was laughing so hard and loved the gifts :)

Well I know the church is true! and I love how the Book of Mormon can bring safety to our souls. And peace in time of stress or trial. I am literally experiencing miracles everyday. The gospel of Jesus Christ is true.

Make Mac Pie

So this week was pretty sweet as well!! We have been teaching Jayshon and Kenai now for a little while! they are progressing well and are getting baptized this Saturday the 25th!! so that will be fun!

I will share with you a cool spiritual experience I had this week! So I woke up wednesday morning and as I did my morning exercise I heard a voice say "make mac pie"  I was half asleep anyway so I didn't think anything of. While I was getting ready the voice came again "make mac pie". This time I thought it was just because I was hungry that is why i thought that. So I had a little breakfast then started my personal study in the scriptures. I was reading when once again I heard the voice this time it was different it said "Elder Dixon Make mac pie". I paused and thought about it and was like this has to be the spirit this time. So I put down my scriptures and went to go make some mac pie. I didn't know why I was making it so I made 6 Pans full! After it was made I said a prayer that I would be able to know who needed this pie and then we left to go visit the members and drop some mac pie. The first 5 people we dropped it by were really happy for it but I didn't think that it was the reason for making it. The last mac pie we took it to a member that missionaries usually don't visit often. She started to cry. She said she just had cooked her last bit of rice and no food left. She said we were angels sent from God!

I marvel at these experiences. And always reflect on what would have happened if I would have not been in-tune with the spirit that day. I truly can testify that God loves us personally. He knows our name... He truly knows us personally. And he knows what we need. All he asks is for us to follow promptings he sends us and then the miracles come if we follow the promptings. I am grateful to be on the lords errand. No Greater joy comes then when we see the fruits of the spirit.

Also this week we were able to do a big service project by painting this huge facility for the prison. This week was also cool because a  good friend Paula Morris asked me to baptize her. So I was honored to use exercise the priesthood keys God has given me.

oh I found a cool Spanish restaurant to eat at!! it costed me my right leg but it was great to eat Mexican food for the first time in 20 months.

And a family that we met this week came to church!! that was super cool!

Grenda Was Sick!

Yo so this week was pretty dope and ting. I had so much fun going back to Grenada and visiting all of my family! Everyone was doing good! Lol Danielle was saying that she won't let anyone baptize her daughter except me so basically she wants me to fly back every time her kids are 8 years old hahah! it was awesome we ate enough good food I got fed 5 times this week!! Everyone is so awesome!

To finish the week we got back and a solid member called us and said that her grandson is ready to be baptized and she wants us to teach him. So that was a miracle. we are going to see him tonight so that will be fun!

Also it was Dawns bday on Sunday so she Invited me for lunch!! it was great!! this week has been a blast.

Time is still flying by. This week wasn't really that interesting. The investigators are the same old. We didn't have any come to church today which was kinda rough. But overall this week we worked hard. I went on a trade off with Elder Kaufana he is from Tonga that was super fun. We basically contacted in the rain all day. But we found someone who accepted to read the Book of Mormon so we felt like we accomplished our mission for the day. Hmm well I made some delicious macaroni pie and gave it to some members who seemed to be having troubles. It always feels so good to give things to people in need! I started doing the Elder Nelson challenge where I am going to read all about Jesus Christ in all sets of scripture. I am excited to see how much I can learn and grow as I do this challenge. Overall I am just so so grateful to be a missionary, I see blessings and miracles every day. The Lord really does love his people here. Well I am leaving to Grenada tonight to go for a few days I will come back on Thursday. We are basically just going over there to uplift the island so it will baptize more! I am excited to go see some peeps!

Well thats about it, Sorry it is short and kinda a lame week but ya know life is good!

Love, Elder Dixon

oh and we watched a horse race that was fun!
